(We use Team Viewer to provide support. Please download this product from www.teamviewer.com and install the FREE, Full Client version…..and do the “Default Installation”.)

MySQL Set Up

EZIE uses the MySQL database for its data storage. MySQL must be installed on your PC in order for EZIE to work. The installation for MySQL is not hard, but it does have quite a few steps. If you carefully follow each step, reading the instructions in the right column, you will have no problems.

EZIE Set Up

After a successful installation of MySQL, the next step is to download, install, and configure the EZIE software. Please follow these instructions:

1. Download EZIE. To download EZIE, please right-click here and select “Open link in new window” from the pop-up menu. Then, click on the link at the top of the browser to highlight it. Then press Enter. That should start the download. Then, run the “eziefullinstall.exe” from the download folder.
2. Windows may not want to run this as it is not part of the Windows Store. Please override it and run it anyway.
3. After EZIE has been installed, it will run the “EZIE Installation and Configuration” program.
4. Step 1 of the Initialization program talks about installing MySQL. If you have already installed MySQL, then skip to Step 2 on that screen.
5. Port 3306 has been entered for you. This is most likely the port from the MySQL installation.
6. Please enter the Password.
7. Click the “Test MySQL Connection” button in Step 3.
8. If the connection was successful, the Step 4 will be displayed. This step will create the EZIE database within MySQL. Click the “Execute Step 4” button to proceed. It will show you the progress on that screen.

Congratulations! EZIE is now ready for you. An EZIE icon was placed on your desktop. Double click that icon to launch the program.

It is HIGHLY recommended that you review the instructional videos. This will help you to get started. (Click the Videos menu item at the top of this page.)

How To Export Your MoIE Data to EZIE

If you are a Monthly Income and Expense Tracker User, then you can export your MoIE data to EZIE. Please follow these steps to successfully transfer your data:

Note: Importing MoIE data will wipe out and replace any data already in EZIE.

1. Click here to download and install the MoIE Export program.
2. The “Export MoIE Data” program will run after installation.
3. Manually create a folder on your PC for the data export. This folder will be used to transfer the data to EZIE. (It can be on a USB drive.)
4. Click the “Open Folder” button and open the folder you just created.
5. Click the “Export Data” button to export your MoIE data to this new folder.
6. When it has finished, close that program.
7. On your Windows Start menu, please find the EZ Income and Expenses menu, and run the “EZIE Import Data from TXT Files (from MoIE)”.
8. Click the “Open Folder” button and open the folder with the exported MoIE data.
9. Click the “Import the Data” button and follow the onscreen prompts.
